Public ratings, honestly reported

What guests say, and what we can honestly report

We do not publish made-up reviews or quotes. Here is what one public platform showed us, what it did not, and the questions we get most often.

The number we saw

On 31 October 2026 the Google Maps place card for Casino New Brunswick, the complex the hotel is part of, showed an average of 4.2 out of 5 from 5,179 reviews. That is a large sample, but read it for what it is: the listing covers the whole complex — casino floor, concert hall, buffet and hotel together — not just the rooms. A concert-goer's five stars and a hotel guest's three stars end up in the same average.

We did not compile scores from booking or review sites for this page, and we will not quote a number we have not seen ourselves with a date attached.

What guests ask us before booking

How we read reviews of hotels like this

Casino hotels collect reviews from very different guests: people here for a concert, people here for the gaming floor, families on a road trip, business travellers. Their scores mix together. When you read reviews yourself, filter by trip type and look for comments from people who travelled the way you will. A family's view of breakfast arrangements will tell you more than a high-roller's.

Look for recent comments about the things the operator does not publish: pool hours, how busy the pool gets, noise on concert nights, and whether any spa services are running. Those are the details that change from season to season.

Our own view

We are a guide, not a reviewer who stayed incognito, and we do not claim otherwise. Our verdict is built from what the operator publishes and how it fits a weekend: large rooms, free parking, a concert hall next door, and the 19+ dining caveat for families.

Tell us about your stay

If you stayed after booking through our desk, we would like to hear how it went, the good and the less good. Write to hello@magnetichillweekend.com. We will not publish your words without asking, and we will never edit a guest's comment into praise.

Room request · three short steps

Ask our desk for a room

Our desk checks availability and the rate for your dates with the hotel or a booking partner and replies by email. We never ask for card details, and nothing is booked until you accept.

1 · Who is coming
2 · Dates and room
3 · Your plans

Thank you — it reached our desk. We check what the hotel can offer for your dates and reply by email, usually within one business day. Nothing is booked or charged until you say yes to a confirmed offer.

We earn a commission from the hotel or its booking partner only when a request sent here becomes a confirmed stay — never a fee from you. How we get paid.
