The Buffet
The Buffet runs from Wednesday to Saturday, from 4 to 9 p.m., with a different theme each night. It is on the casino floor, so everyone who enters must be 19 or older. The operator posts each night's menu, and these were the menus on our check:
| Night | Theme | A few dishes listed | Non-member price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | Southern Brisket | dry-rub brisket, mac and cheese, cornbread with maple, pouding chômeur | $29.99 |
| Thursday | Ribs & Wings | BBQ pork ribs, honey garlic wings, fish cakes, steamed mussels | $29.99 |
| Friday | AA Prime Rib | slow-roasted prime rib, roasted potatoes, rice pilaf | $31.99 |
| Saturday | Marinated AA Striploin & Salmon | striploin, salmon with honey garlic glaze, seafood lasagna, mussels | $31.99 |
Prices are the non-member figures printed on each menu page, before any change the operator makes later; check the menu page for your night. Several dishes are marked gluten-free on the menus, but the operator does not publish a full allergen list, so ask staff if you have a serious allergy.
Hub City Pub
The pub is described by the operator as offering "a diverse menu and a vibrant atmosphere for food, drinks, and entertainment". It takes reservations, and it hosts free live music most weeks: in late October and early November 2026 the listing showed bands on Thursday evenings from 7 to 10 and on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. It is also on the casino floor, so it is 19+. The operator did not publish the pub's kitchen hours in a form we could read; check on the day.
No room service
The hotel states plainly: "There is no room service available at this time." For a family, this changes how you pack. Each room has a Keurig coffee and tea maker, but the operator does not list a fridge or microwave. Bring what you need for a simple breakfast, and ask our desk about a fridge if you need one.
A meal plan for families
- Saturday morning
Moncton Market
Over 100 Atlantic Canadian growers and makers under one roof at 120 Westmorland St, every Saturday year-round until 2 p.m. Breakfast and lunch to go.
- Weekdays
Market food court
The market's weekday food court is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with several small kitchens.
- At the zoo
Acadian Forest Bistro
Vending machines for hot drinks and snacks near the playground; BeaverTails pastries during Wild Lights.
- In the room
Breakfast you bring
Cereal, fruit, yogurt and the in-room Keurig. Simple, quick, and the kids eat in pyjamas.
Downtown Moncton has plenty of restaurants along and around Main Street, which the City mentions in its tidal bore guide; by our own measurement it is about 11 km from the hotel by road. We do not list individual restaurants we have not checked, and opening hours in small cities change with the season, so a quick search on the day is still your best friend.
Food things to pack
- A small cooler bag and two ice packs
- Breakfast for each morning: cereal cups, fruit, granola bars
- Reusable cutlery, a cloth and a few paper plates
- Snacks for the car ride to Hopewell Rocks
- Nothing for the concert hall: outside food and water are not allowed there
For adults on their own
Without kids, the picture is easy. The Buffet suits a hungry evening before a show, as long as it falls between Wednesday and Saturday, and the pub covers late nights with live music. Both require valid government photo ID if you look under 30, because they are on the casino floor.
Alcohol is served in the pub and at the bars of the Molson Canadian Centre. Please drink sensibly and do not drive after drinking; the hotel is a short walk from the concert hall precisely so you do not have to.
