The two rooms
- Up to 100 guests
Monte Carlo Room
The larger room: a built-in buffet area, abundant natural light and flexible layouts, for meetings, workshops and receptions.
- Up to 40 guests
Nevada Room
Smaller and on the hotel side of the complex, with a built-in bar, for business meetings, private celebrations and dinners.
Both rooms are booked through the property's sales team at cnb.sales@greatcanadian.com, according to the operator. The operator lists the types of events it hosts as corporate conferences, galas, fundraisers, private parties and meetings.
Which room for which event
A family reunion of 30 people with a sit-down meal fits the Nevada Room, and its location on the hotel side means grandparents walk from their rooms without crossing the casino. A company workshop for 60 with a buffet lunch suits the Monte Carlo Room, with its built-in buffet area and daylight. A milestone birthday where the family stays the night works in either; book the rooms for guests at the same time.
Group rooms
The group's house rules say all hotel policies apply to group reservations, which are also subject to a separate group booking contract. In practice, that contract sets the room block, the deadline for releasing unused rooms, and deposits. Read it closely before signing. Remember that each room needs someone aged 19 or older to check in with photo ID.
Planning checklist for a group weekend
- Headcount, and how many of them are under 19
- Number of rooms and the bed types needed
- Any accessibility needs, in writing
- Whether you need the event room for a meal, a meeting or both
- A plan for children during an adult event, since minors need an adult supervising
- Show tickets, if the group is going to the Molson Canadian Centre the same night
Combining an event with a concert
A popular shape for a group weekend: a dinner in the Nevada Room on Friday, a show at the Molson Canadian Centre on Saturday, and a late check-out on Sunday. Concert tickets are bought separately on Ticketmaster; the hotel and event rooms are arranged with the property. Our desk can handle the room side for you and leave the event contract to you and the sales team.
How our desk helps
We can request a group of rooms for you and come back with what the hotel offers. We do not sign event contracts on your behalf. If your group request turns into confirmed stays, the hotel or booking partner pays us a commission, as explained on how we get paid.
