The room in numbers
- Bed
- 1 king
- Size
- Starting from 590 sq ft
- Views
- City
- Layout
- Open-concept
- TV
- 37-inch LCD HD IPTV
The operator calls these suites "an urban escape" for people "seeking size, extra space and serenity". Strip away the brochure voice and the useful fact is the floor area: 150 square feet more than the Deluxe King, in one open space.
Who it suits
Couples staying two or three nights who will spend time in the room: reading, working, recovering after a late show. Also a good pick for one parent and one child, where the extra floor turns into a play area for a toddler. Note the views listed are city only, not mountain. If the hill side matters to you, the Luxury Suite and the Deluxe rooms list mountain views.
What it does not have
Compared with the Luxury Suite, there is no divided living room, no dining table, no sofa bed and no wet-bar in the operator's description. The TV is the same 37-inch screen as the Deluxe rooms; the 50-inch sets are in the Luxury and Marquis Suites. If you need a second sleeping surface, this is not your room.
Worth bringing for a longer stay
- A laptop stand if you will use the granite desk for work
- A reusable water bottle — the Molson Canadian Centre does not allow outside water
- A book or two for a slow Sunday morning
- Your own pillow if you are fussy; the bedding is duvet-style with extra pillows
Check-in is from 4 p.m. and check-out by 11 a.m. If you want a late check-out after a concert night, ask early; the house rules say modified times are honoured where possible and may carry a charge.
